Latex Production Process and Its Applications

Latex production begins at collection points in rubber-growing areas, where fresh latex is tapped from rubber trees. To preserve and stabilize the properties of natural rubber latex during transport, specific chemicals are added. At the factory, natural rubber latex is concentrated to 60% latex under strict quality control.

The resulting latex concentrate is a high-quality raw material widely used in the manufacturing of various products

  • Harvesting and Preserving Fresh Latex

The process begins at the rubber plantations. Latex is tapped from rubber trees early in the morning to ensure maximum freshness. Immediately after collection, the latex is treated with ammonia to prevent premature coagulation and maintain stability

  • Filtering, Centrifugation, and Impurity Removal

At the factory, raw latex undergoes fine filtration to remove debris such as bark, sand, and other impurities. It is then processed through high-speed centrifuges to separate rubber particles from non-rubber components, concentrating the latex to the target DRC level.

  • Chemical Stabilization & DRC Adjustment

Following centrifugation, specific chemicals are introduced to stabilize the pH levels and inhibit microbial growth. During this phase, technicians meticulously adjust the Dry Rubber Content (DRC) levels to ensure it aligns with the buyer's specifications.

  • Strict Quality Control (QC)

Every batch is subjected to rigorous laboratory testing. Key parameters such as DRC, TSC, pH, ammonia content, MST, and viscosity are measured and documented. This ensures compliance with international standards and customer specifications, minimizing the risk of defects in downstream production.

  • Packaging, Storage, and Transportation

Once approved, the latex is packed into clean, airtight drums or IBC tanks. It is stored in cool, controlled environments to preserve stability and quality. During transportation, manufacturers follow strict handling procedures to prevent contamination and temperature-related degradation.
